My story began in 2016, when I lost 90% of my hair in less than a month, to my autoimmune disease, Alopecia Areata.
Today, I'm living my best life (with hair)! Thankfully, I said F that to steroid injections (despite everyone telling me I was nuts!) and opted for a Naturopath instead. Together, we healed my gut, removed my food sensitivities, and made some key lifestyle changes to address the root causes of my hair loss.
Not only did I see regrowth quickly but the chronic symptoms - constipation, bloating, insomnia, psoriasis, brain fog - things I'd been ignoring for years, all disappeared too.
This was my HOLY CRAP moment! I couldn't believe that the way I eat and live had the power to reduce my inflammation and reverse my autoimmune symptoms so my hair could grow again.
I couldn't believe nobody else in the alopecia community was talking about this! So I attended the largest health coaching school in the world, the Institute of Integrative Nutrition to become a Certified Integrative Nutrition & Gut Health Coach so I could help others heal themselves with anti-inflammatory food and lifestyle changes, like I have.
